NEW EMCO LUMINAIRE REDUCES WIND-DRAG BY 40% |
 |
The silhouette of the 1000 watt
rectangular luminaire has not changed in decades -- Until Now. EMCO has designed a new luminaire with the rectangular shape, but
with a 40 percent reduction in Effective Projected Area (EPA). |
The
EMCO Decolume luminaire in the existing 23 inch housing accepted 750W to 1000W HPS and
Metal Halide lamps. Now, the size is reduced to 18 inches. That's the same size as a 400W
luminaire. Only, the DECT is 2 inches taller.

The benefit?
The Reduced EPA 1000W EMCO DecoLume
will:
- Permit the use of lighter gauge poles.
- In those wind-swept areas, the EPA reduction will
increase the ability of a pole to withstand higher velocities.
- The EMCO reduced profile DecoLume will reduce
luminaire costs:
Smaller luminaires mean a savings in material. This translates to $ saved for the whole
project.
- Performance is not sacrificed. The same outstanding
photometry comes with the EMCO DECT luminaire as you expect from Gardco,
mcPhilben, other
EMCO products.
